Helloween, mainly for the wall and the two keepers. But was a tought one to decide, cause I prefer Gamma Ray that Helloween with Deris... And Chameleon makes the decision more difficult.

Note: I'm the only that thinks that Pink Bubbles is not a great album, but not as bad as everybody says?
I think is in the 70-75 range.

I don't think its as bad as everybody says either. It has a couple decent tracks.

I like old Helloween because of nostalgic reasons but, song-wise and musically I definietly prefer "new Helloween" and I consider "The dark ride" to be their best album ever. I haven´t heard the whole new album yet thou.

Helloween...It has to be! Although I love Gamma Ray I find their quality dropping with the last couple of releases, but anyways, their start is, was, will forever be ... HELLOWEEN...+ Kiske = vote :):):)

P.S. Love also Dark Ride...TOTO...KOTSKIII....that means Deris is fine with me.
P.S. 2 I may be a little intoxicated at this time but nonetheless my vote goes to HELLOWEEN

Without any doubts...HELLOWEEN. I don´t like Gamma Ray at all (maybe 1 or 2 songs but....). But, on the other hand I only listen to Helloweens "The dark ride" nowadays. Back in the eighties the were kind of heroes for me.

Tough one. Vote for Gamma. Land Of The Free is almost perfect. From the Helloween catalogue I listen only to first three albums, because for me Helloween without Hansen (and especially Kiske!) is not worth listening.

More influential, more great songs, not as afraid to experiment and try new sounds. Gamma Ray will be remembered as good or great, Helloween as legendary.

Woooowww! Helloween legendary?

I'd say:The Beatles=legendary,80's Helloween=very good band,nowadays Helloween =good band,Gamma Ray=good band,maybe a little more than good.

Although 1st EP and Walls are imo better than anything Gamma Ray did,i'll go with Gamma Ray,i prefer their sense of humor,Kai's voice...Powerplant and Land of the Free>any Helloween from the 90s,imo.

I know it's a tough one... one one hand you have GAMMA RAY that never sucked but don't have so many classic albums (I think Power Plant kinda is but that would be all). on the other hand you have HELLOWEEN who did, imo, 4 classic albums (the first 3 and Dark Ride) but also a few awful ones (Pink Bubbles Go Ape & Chameleon).

discuss...

Dark Ride classic?

I see you're making here a little digression from your book of rules(Dark Ride=less than 10 years old)

Legendary, yes. For metal, and it's metal we're talking about, leave the Beatles out. Helloween basically invented a genre, and directly influenced hundreds of other bands. That's legendary in my book.

No way!I don't consider them legends! They've made a great album with st/Walls of jericho,2 very good albums with the Keepers, and some other good albums, but it takes much more to a band to become legendary in my book.
