Only think I'm worried about is the length, 50 minutes is a lot of death metal. But, Nile did it well, so...

Nile did it and succeeded, Blood Red Throne did it and failed.

Don't get me wrong, there are some excellent tracks on this album, like Tortured Soul Appearance and the title track - they kick ass. But listening to the entire album in one go is very tiring. None of the tracks really scream 'filler' at you, but they could have shortened the album by 10 minutes or so and still put out a classy album.

Affiliated with the Suffering is a lot better, I would give that one an 80 and this one like a 69 or so. Or in simpler terms 7.5/10 and probably 6/10.

This is what i call a solid album. It's brutal and has some nice groovy riffs here and there! 80/100

I really like this band. This and Monument of Death are two solid albums.

I have a song called Mephitication (dunno which album) and it's fucking awesome-the riffing, soloing and drumming is all top notch, but the vocals are shit. It's like somebody growling herdyteruuurrrr over and over again. I'll pick something up at some point.

Well would you imagine the singer squealing with that kind of heavy riffing?

What would you expect vocally from a death metal band anyway ? This band kicks ass. Go get the album Pete.

Seriously. I thought the vocals were awesome after my first listen. It didn't take any time for them to grow on me.

Yet to hear a death metal vocalist that blows me off, I think this guy is more than capable.

Hehe, I'll get it sometime-the vocalist just doesn't do anything for me-then again, he doesn't take anything away from the music, so...Tardy is the best death metal vocalist ever, Obituary rule.

I think yowly vocals like Tard-y's here would ruin it. Part of the appeal of these guys for me is the mechanical technicality, Obituary are too old school. Mr Hustler fits perfectly.
