Crazy project from Santa Cruz. They're playing everything! Black Metal, Country, Jazz, Fusion, Rock, music from Nintendo games, Hard Core, ballads from the 50's, Balkan folk, Greek folk dances. Incredible! Totaly stupid! Amazing technique - guys are well taught jazzmen. Here's an info:

Hahah, crazy! But it's not meant for me. I love mixing genres, but only when they are a band is playing different genres at the same time, not really when they just play a serie of different genres.

I recommend to get familiar with full albums. They convey the idea of their music better than samples :)

I tend to feel the same way as Misha- although it should be said that I do love Mr Bungle.

They seem to do what they do pretty convincingly. Thanks for the mp3s, Angel Black. They are on my iTunes playlist so I'll see how much they grow on me.

The first clip's quite good. However, whenever I hear the Mario music now I think of that video of those mindless shites doing it a capella. Grrrrrrrr...

Not bad, not bad.

You should check their full albums. It's the only way to get familiar with this band. The samples will never show all its advantages :) Very complex music, multi-layered arrangements, various instruments, etc.

Also check their video for "The Silent Elk Of Yesterday". If somebody thought that Immortal had goofy videoclips, he should try this one.

Excerpt of the lyrics:

"Now I lay
Victim of the modern world
Underneath I plant three seeds
And giveth my body - decompose
To let grow from soil once more.

In satan's name
You're exculpated from blame
For your world turning to black
Alas the deer shoot back
Before we destroy it all.

The deer shoot back,
White tail attack. "

   :

Just play two of 'em at once.

There are songs where only one particular genre is to be found. For instance Black, Jazz or Death. But there are also complex songs where bluegrass meets Balkan folk, crircus music, Death Metal etc. :)

Cool band, indeed. I had their 'It's Understood' but lost it along the way, somehow. :(
