It could be one it could be 40!

And this does not mean just for the mean while, it means it's been your fav for a long time or it's just very special to you; if you will.

Burzum - "Det Som en Gang Var" from Hvis..

so beautifully sad and forlorn. also one of the black metal songs which helped me break the code, if you will, this changed me and helped me to appreciate the simple, minimalistic side of things much more.

also, the first track from Bergtatt with the forgettable title..

There are merely seven that come in mind immediately as extremely good tracks. These are in top 7 form:

1. Darkestrah - Jashil Oy
2. Lunar Aurora - A Haudiga Fluag
3. Ulver - I Troldskog Faren Vild
4. Burzum - Det Song Engang Var
5. Nargaroth - Seven Tears Are Flowing To The River
6. Thy Catafalque - Neath Waters
7. Taake - VII

These are all revolutionary and standout. All have their beauty and their power, these are all perfect.

The only one that immediately comes to mind as being superior to everything is a popular pick.

I honestly can't choose. Picking one over another would be ignoring countless more masterpeices.

I don't feel like looking up all the song titles right now, but a lot of stuff from these bands; Windir, Forest of Fog, Drudkh, Vreid, and recently Xasthur. Does Agalloch count?
