Well... I'm looking forward to having my grind obliterated, or something. And I imagine I'll stand at the back next to the bar sipping tap water- for I am SPASTIC WEAK AND LAME.

It will be awesome though, I'm sure. Hopefully I can get my housemate to come too so I'm not there all on my own.

I asked this already, but is s/he metal?

She has a marginal interest in metal. She's been to see Opeth and napalm Death with me but I'm not sure she'd go further than that... the Berzerker will take persuading.

Hell, if she (she?!) liked ND, she'll probably get something out of TB. It's quite dancable, after all.

Oh yeah, I'm sure she'll find something to enjoy there. She likes stuff that's marginal and strange, which is how she perceives grind, of course.

Cryptopsy, Grave, Dew-scented, Aborted, Vesenia and Hurtlocker.

Hurtlocker where ok, apart from the bassist having a run through the crowd and shouting (in hilarious high pitched voice) "what's up fuckers?" to me and my friends they where nothing special.

Vesenia-Erm...Very boring. Black metal? They weren't scary at all!

Aborted-Holy fucking shit. Best band of the night-There must've been 400 people in the club when they hit the stage and every single person went crazy! The band played brilliantly, the pit was awesome, and they fucking levelled the place.

Dew-scented-Very good, but the vocalist was right when he said "I don't think we can't match Aborted-we just watched them fucking level the place!"

Grave-Hoho, Awesome! They played Rise, Into the Grave and You'll never see...-just what I wanted! During Rise Ola Lindgren stopped singing and pointed at me, probably because I was screaming out the lyrics as loud as I could, hehe. Nobody could hear me, but he no doubt saw me lip-sync "YOU WON'T BE SAVED!"

Cryptopsy-Right, they came on stage at about 11:10, we were leaving at 11:30. Bummer. I've never been to a gig which finished after 11:15, so we only got a few songs. What I did see was awesome, and Lord Worm was impeccable-some of his screams where so high pitched they hurt my ears and lasted for ages. Nice violent mosh pit and the band was great onstage.

Overall the concert was fucking awesome-although Aborted owned everyone and everything! Met the Aborted guys afterwards, got the guitarist's pick, a couple of posters and incidentally met the drummer from Cradle of Filth's first 5 albums and some Dimmu ones (the Aborted guys where really excited to see him, gave him a free cd, when he said he was doing the next Benediction record there was talk of a co-headlining tour after Aborted have gone and done the new record). I told him what I thought of the music, and well...What I wonder is: I didn't actually recognise the guy, and he was on the train a few seats in front of us, what the fuck was he doing on a shitty little train in Cheshire? Reccomended concert definantly-GO.

Why'd you leave early? Maybe I should have been there, I'd have made you miss the train or whatever rubbish excuse it was. And if you met a real Black Metaller and said that to him, he'd have put his fist through your face.

Glad it was good, though. Aborted were better than Grave?!

My mate's dad was picking us up, and Cryptopsy where playing until 12:30-which is unheard of for a gig around here. Aborted where better than everyone! It really surprised me actually, and the club was almost at full capacity when they played. (check my initial post again, I made a couple of edits)

Yeah Aborted truly has some potential.
Great brutal death metal.

Heh, I was very happy-just very annoyed at only seeing 25 mins of Cryptopsy. I forgot to mention that there was a wall of death during Into The Grave, which just happened to...happen, haha.

Yesterday i saw Cathedral, Electric Wizard and Grand Magus at the Tavastia club in Helsinki.

Grand Magus were pretty good. I hadn't heard them before and was expecting more of a stoner sound, but they were more traditional heavy metalish doom than stoner. Which was nice.

Electric Wizard were fucking awesome. Crushingly heavy stuff.

Cathedral's sound was muddy as hell, but the band played well. I liked EW better, though.

Beer was too expensive (4,50 e for a 0,4 liter pint, for fucks sake!), but other than that, no complaints.
