Which brings me to crappy reissues that have 'buffer' tracks (ie the timer counts up a few minus numbers to zero) between songs that originally flowed together. Gives me mild whiplash if listening to with headphones.

I like the bands that do this and actually make those negative tracks worth something. Ani Difranco, on Educated Guess, has a bunch of these but they're actually songs, albeit short, but still either a spoken word poem or some music.

flippin' BM distros that don't have an up to date list of their CDs IN STOCK. I am sick of playing email tag trying to find a CD they have in stock that I actually want.

Greetings Sean,
J.B. Bauer from Full Moon Productions here. We recently received your online order (#4385); however, we regret to inform you that we are currently sold out of the Craft "Terror Propaganda" CD that you ordered. Is there an alternate title from our catalog that we can send you in its place?

Please let me know at your earliest convenience and we will send your complete order out to you ASAP.

No problem, actually I would like to make 2 substitutions.

Sargeist/ Satanic Black Devotion instead of Craft
Leviathan / Tenticles of Whorror instead of Hate Forest / The Most Ancient

Thanks a lot for your fast response. No problem about the Leviathan "Tentacles of Whorror" CD substitution for the Hate Forest "The Most Ancient Ones" CD, but we just sold out of the Sargeist "Satanic Black Devotion" CD. Can you please provide me with another alternate?

I countered with Taake “...Bjoergvin” see what happens.

That might be annoying... But from Craft - Terror Propaganda to Taake - Over Bjoergvin Graater Himmerik I'd say you made a good substitution...

Bands/sets of fans with really wanky nicknames.

I mean, who the bloody hell thinks its cool to refer to Metallica as 'tallica? How is that quicker to say? It takes one more key stroke to type it than the band's actual name.

Well, it can work:

Crypto -> Cryptopsy
Suffo -> Suffocation

I always say the full name, though, anal as I am.

Of course it can work, but when people force a nickname out of one blatantly unsuited to abbreviation it just looks and sounds stupid and most probably annoying. I mean I can just hear the sort of people who say 'tallica.

"Hurr hurr, duuuude, that 'tallica song is rippin'. That solo is some sick shit!"

Actually this sort of annoys me as well. Oooh see what I did there, a clever play on words.

UltraBoris at metal-archives is really bad for it. Don't believe me? Just check all his reviews for Suck Flames the Gothenshit band. :roll:
