Besides "Love At First Sting", with its mega-hyper-ultra-hits "Big City Nights", "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and "Still Loving You" .... which Scorpions album to get ? |

All of it!! Stub is correct tho, there is something unique and special about all the early albums ![]() Even the ballads and a special feel for them. The early slow songs were not atypical, they were out there and very emotional. Songs such as Yellow Raven ![]() Follows stubs list first then move on to the newer stuff. If you reach a year you dont like say98 do not move on cause it gets more "poppy" or "radio-friendly". If that is not a problem.. then buy them all ![]() |

Anything but Eye II Eye. You're guaranteed at least a very good rock album with anything but that album. But Eye II Eye has "Mind Like A Tree," which is an essential Scorpions track! It's awesome! |

Why do you think "Mind Like a Tree" is so special? |

Taken by force, In Trance, Virgin killer & Fly to the rainbow, the Roth era, incredible, emotional, the best scorps, Tokio Tapes is a good album too, a live testament of that era. Lovedrive, Blackout, Animal Magnetism (contains my favourite song from them, The Zoo), the pure hard rock years (whith love at first sting, and World Wide Live, another great good album with an incredible version of Coast to Coast). That's for me the essential. Savage Amusement, Crazy World, Face the Heat, Pure Instinct & Unbreakable have good songs, some great, but overall are not at the level of their past glories. Avoid Eye II Eye, Lonesome Crow, and orchestal, acoustic and rest of live experiments they have done. |

Nothing like the rest of the CD. I would say the trilogy of Lovedrive, Animal Magnetism and Blackout, then go back and get Virgin Killers and In trance, Lonsome Crow and Fly to the Rainbow are weird. They lost me after Crazy from the Heat or whatever that album was so I can't comment on their new shit cos i haven't heard much. Loving you Sunday Morning is still my fave song of theirs. |

My oppinion is to get their latest "Platinum Collection" best of, which contains songs from their entire career, so you can see which period you like better and invest in that, while not missing out on hits from other time zones ![]() |
