One of the more obscure 80's rock bands, but one of the best! I found some vids on YouTube and figured I'd share them, for those that like this sort thing. Their debut self-titled had a minor hit with a song called "The Kid Goes Wild" because it was featured in the Robocop movie, but other than that they pretty much came and went unnoticed. They released two albums in the late 80s, early 90's and then took a break. They released a live album in '99 and a studio album in 2000, which a bit more modern, but there were some great songs on it. Most recently they released an album with early demos before their self-titled. I think the live album is the studio recordings with crowd noise, though. It's just too perfect. Years ago, however, I mentioned this somewhere online and Derek, the singer, ripped me a good one! Hahaha. So maybe they were that good live, I don't know. I know the studio songs very, very well and hear no difference except crowd noise. Anyway, here are some videos: BANG GO THE BELLS HAMMER SWINGS DOWN BAD BLOOD My advice would be to listen and not actually watch the videos! ![]() |

I wish they'd never released American Blitzkrieg, however. They were really trying too hard to be something that they're not, and it was an enormous disappointment. The debut is one of my favorite albums of the era, great stuff!! |

Wow, Bang go the Bells, I feel like I stepped into the wayback machine. I haven't heard that song in a loooonnnnggg time. My oldest brother had the Cassette Tape of the debut album, and from what I remember it was very good. I have no idea what they were thinking on those videos though, yeesh. |
