June 13th i think. In my opinion, about the only great Rock band to come out of the 90s that was not grunge (and thank God!). Cant wait to hear this new release. The song Mystery is very good

Anyone else like these guys. They took elements of modern/90s/grunge, but kept it poppy and catchy. Not to mention the lead singer can actually sing and the kept lead guitar elements in their music. The perfect mix of alt/pop/hair Rock rolled up into one ever produced. (IMO)

Cool. Would like to see it. wierd I know many that abandoned the band just because they got a lot of radio time, and now since that has fallen off some. The others abandon it?

Awesome album! It's not mellow like I thought it would be. It's not heavy, of course, they've never been heavy, but it's more along the lines of Selling Copper, maybe slightly mellower. "Show" is my favorite at the moment.

And Ed's been hitting the weights, he's jacked now!

Just got it today. Gonna give it some spins. I liked V the best , then Birds of Prey, then throwing copper, then Samadhi, mental jewlrey and lastly I did not care for the album that contained the Dolphins cry song. (forgot name cause it is a dust collecter.

It is a very good album. Very catchy and listenable with great melodies and hooks. Ed has a unique voice and oddly enuff sounds better live(performing that is) than studio ? I wish the album had some of the rawness the the earlier albums had. I like the fact that all songs could have been made into a single, but I kinda see where the heavier or rawer side is missing a little bit. Maybe they needed to throw some songs similar to the odd ones off birds and secret samadhi. Nonetheless I will enjoy spinning this until I get a new Enuff Znuff record for my hard rock moods

No. I don't think they've ever been that big since Throwing Copper.

Actually The Distance to Here was also very succesful and brought back LIVE to the "Hot" status, although they would never be as popular as they were with Throwing Copper.

(IMO) One of my favorite bands! I love 'em! What I like is how they change it up on each album, but never sounding like a different band. This album sounds mellow, lots of acoustics and strummed songs, not as rockin' as Birds Of Pray. I can't wait. Definitely an awesome band. Too bad when radio abandons great bands so do the "fans." There is video footage out there somewhere in the world of me and a friend in 1996 in Biloxi, MS doing a little acoustic cover of "Lightning Crashes." He's on acoustic, I'm on vocals. We tore it up. It was really cool.

Yep, that's the nature of a lot of fans. Media promotes a band like crazy, thus hypnotizing the part-time fans, that ruins it for many real fans, then when the mainstream media eventually abandons the non-conforming band, those part-time fans walk away, too. This the band plays teeny tiny clubs until they're dropped by their label and likely forced to disband. Lame. By the way, I would love to see that video, too, as I've never seen it. I just know at least three people recorded it. I guess it'll show up someday when I'm all famous and shit! :roll:

I don't mind their melllow songs, but the problem with this album is that 10 out of 12 are mellow. They should have mixte it up better.

I love The Distance To Hear, almost covered "Dolphin's Cry" in Korea.

Seven is the poppiest, but all songs are of the "extremely catchy/ radio friendly- fell with the exception of Donnies passionate/ raspy/slightly outatuned voice. Which for me and many is just perfect. Here is a couple of videos of Ballads from earlier albums. I have been addicted to ballads since my teenage years, so if you have a dislike for these types of songs, you will not find the videos enjoyable. These were done around 1993/1994 i think. They've done well with every album since Copper, Secret Samadhi probably being the second most popular and then they leveled off. Still, the others have done well, even V. The new one is also doing pretty good. Obviously it's not selling millions, but I'm hearing the new singles all the time.

I have grown to enjoy the new album alot. I think I know every word to every song now. I listen to it about every 3 days or so numerous times. It is Mellower but still very good.
