And I thought Psycho Circus was crap! Well, it was, but this one's even worse. And I just spent six whole bucks on it. :(
When Motley Crue and Def Leppard went Grunge, they had some idea of what they were doing. They were able to adapt their sound to a different medium. Here, KISS is just making fucking idiots of themselves.
If it were a comedy album, it would be acceptable.

Are you insane? When did Def Leppard and Motley Crue make grunge albums? Sure, Motley Crue's self-titled was pretty modern in terms of sound, but it wasn't grunge. And Def Leppard have never even rubbed up against grunge!

Carnival Of Souls is a great album, by the way. I don't like Kiss much, but it's a good, solid album.

Kiss Trivia: "Unholy" is the baddest song they've ever done! :D

he probably means the s/t Mötley Crüe & Slang by Def Leppard.... but that's bullshit anyway. none of those albums were grunge.

if people could correctly recognise grunge then the Melvins would still be on doom-metal.com..

Yeah, that always puzzled me. Where the hell's the grunge?

just because Cobain said he was a total Melvins fan they found themselves to be "assimilated" to the grunge scene which is just plain silly... that and because they're from Seattle (not so sure about that though...).

I don't think Mother Love Bone (sleazy rock), Tad (noise rock) or Mudhoney (garage rock) were any grunge either...

Nah, grunge didn't really exist as a real genre, but you could see a lot of bands older trying to catch onto that "Seattle sound" :rollolloll: by changing their guitar tone and trying to 'toughen up' their lyrics (eg Bon Jovi - Hey God).

I would say that Tad was grunge. Noise rock? No way. Amazing? Indeedy! One of the best bands to ever come out of Seattle, but sadly underrated.
