I think they're the finest hard rock act out of the NWOBHM (Tygers of Pan Tang & Samson came close but weren't consistent as DL)... Too bad their last two albums weren't up to their, otherwise, good discography... :( Here's my list :
2.HYSTERIA (1987) 90/100 3.PYROMANIA (1983) 85/100 4.SLANG (1996) 80/100 5.ADRENALIZE (1992) 70/100 6.ON THROUGH THE NIGHT (1980) 65/100 7.EUPHORIA (1999) 60/100 8.X (2002) 45/100 now show me yours !

you really should check more Def Leppard (I know Eyesore is not going to oppose me on this) ! High'n'Dry is particulary awesome ! and if you want a more modern Lep' I suggest you try the much overlooked Slang...

While i can say i really like this hard rock band,i wouldn't rate them as high as TIE!I'm more Guns'n'roses/Skid Row generation(which shows i'm younger then TIE)! So here are my ratings:1.High& Dry-85/100 2.Pyromania-80/100 3.Slang-80/100(this one holds a special place in my heart :oops: ) 4.On Through the Night-75/100(this one's a bit twisted;lacks High& Dry's kick ass clarity and concision) 5.Adrenalize-70/100(still fun to listen to) I haven't listen to Hysteria(and the last ones,and Retroactive) yet! Still a good band ,but G'nR kick their ass!!!!!! |
