This very good band are back in great form with their brand new album (Ogre Tones - 2005) so I was wondering if some of you metalheads ever appreciated this fine hard rock act...

here's how I'd rate their "classic" albums :

1988 - Out of the Silent Planet 85/100
1989 - Gretchen Goes to Nebraska 95/100
1990 - Faith Hope Love 90/100
1992 - King's X 70/100
1994 - Dogman 85/100
1996 - Ear Candy 80/100

after this album they kind of lost it and released a few lousy albums :
1998 - Tape Head 40/100
2000 - Please Come Home ... Mr. Bulbous 50/100
2001 - Manic Moonlight 45/100
2003 - Black Like Sunday 55/100

so I certainly was thinking King's X was dead for me... but they're back and Ogre Tones may very well strike around 75/100 (which is a very good score for me ! :D )

so, King's X : Hit or Miss ?

I'd just like to say that it's pretty daring to call your band King Sex.

Dunno. Picked up Manic Moonlight, wasn't too impressed. But you've given it a 45/100. Although tastes may differ, looks like I picked up the wrong one

More often than not, a "best of" is a good place to start. Will download that once I get my high speed internet connection. Thanks.

They definitely went into a lull over the past few albums, but they were decent, just not nearly as good as the older shit. I have yet to hear Ogre Tones, but I'm looking forward to picking it up whenever I can find it used.
