Siam - The Search Another band I discovered through http://www.metalmayhem.com, they sell CDs by bands still doing the 80's rock thing. Anyway, a lot of you guys might really like this band because they're not cheesy, or typical 80's rock. This is like 80's rock meets Queensryche on the heavier side of the fence. The singer, Tony Mills, is also in the band SHY. This is definitely worth a listen, the whole CD, The Language Of Menace, is excellent. Website: http://www.tonymills.net (the closest you'll get) |

Hey guys, let me just confirm that both of Siam's CDs are well worth getting, especially if you are into early Queensryche and similar bands. The Language of Menace is good, but I prefer the 2nd album entitled "Prayer". In fact, Tony Mills himself says that "Prayer" is his best ever work. Now for some breaking news... Siam might be making another record. I have an inside source with Tony himself and the talk of doing another album is gathering momentum. For further info you can go and search the forum on www.rockreport.be where you will find much talk about Shy (Tony Mills' main AOR band) and Siam, and also another great new band hailing from Norway, called Winterstrain, whose debut album features Tony Mills on backing vocals. 8) |

Hmmm...I'll have to check out that first album. Are they Christian? I get that vibe. I get this overwhelming power of Jesus coming through my speakers when I listen to them. Praise the lord, and shit like that and stuff... |

I still quite like this CD. I don't have Prayer. The Language of Menace is very good, though. |

Yah, I've gotten them on my wantlist for a while... They are on bargain prize overseas :( ...which is why I still don't have them. |
