With Black Ice coming out soon, I've been trying to get into AC/DC. I already have Highway to Hell and Back in Black, and both feel like very solid hard rock albums, but I've been feeling like I need more of them.

Which AC/DC albums (Besides the two previously mentioned) would you guys recommend?

Not a fan, but anything with Bon Scott (pre Back In Black) would be my reccomendation.

High Voltage and If You Want Blood are good starting points but, as COTB said, everything with Bon Scott is good.
With Brian, except Back in Black, Stiff Upper Lip is the best.

I'm not too into live albums, but I'll look into the other ones.

I'm not either but, trust me, If You Want Blood is supreme! :dio:

I'd go for the next two albums after the ones you mentioned.

After Back In Black is "For Those About To Rock" and then "Flick Of The Switch". The second of the two i mentioned is quite underrated in my opinion and has some great tracks.

I'd also recommend "Fly On The Wall" and "The Razors Edge"

Yes indeed. Flick of the Switch is ENORMOUSLY under-rated.

Yep...Badlands is easily one of my top 10 fav AC/DC tracks.

Let there be rock,Powerage and Dirty Deeds with Bon Scott;those are pure australian hard rock masterpieces.

Flick of the Switch is my favorite with Brian(after Back in Black ,of course). Blow up your Video,Razor's Edge and For those about to rock are also pretty good. Fly on the Wall is their worst, imo, and Stiff Upper Lip is a bit long and boring.

Apart from the Mutt Lange albums, I really don't think there's a need to get a full album from these guys.

Just pic the two or 3 big tracks from each album and you're better off.

You're so wrong!
Every album from the Bon Scott era is a must have!

No.

Albums with sensational highlights, sure. Songs that are must haves, absolutely.

I stand by what I said. In the download/ipod era, there's no need for all those albums.

Fly on the Wall is their worst

Are you kidding?

Some of their best songs are from Fly On The Wall

"Playing With Girls" :dio:
"Send For The Man" :dio:
"Back In Business" :dio:
"Sink The Pink" :dio:
"Shake Your Foundations" :dio:

Come On...

I once heard a guy claiming Virtual XI was Maiden's best album.
Your post reminded me of this Trooper of Sheet... Oups, Steel.

I think they're ok, but average by AC dC's standards;just a matter of taste ,i guess.

And i prefer Maiden's Virtual XI, or Queen's Hot Space over Fly on the Wall.

Virual XI is one of their better albums, IMO...after their "classics", of course. Same goes with X Factor
