In the past,it was :Led Zeppelin uber alle!!!

But at that time all i knew about Deep Purple was Machine Head and In Rock!

After that i've discovered Deep Purple Mk III with Coverdale and Hughes, and Deep Purple was never the same for me!

Today i think i could not choose. What about you, guys?

I'd say Zeppelin. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" owns anything Deep Pruple has ever done.

That's a damn good song. I'd venture to say that Great White's cover of it was the best thing they ever did. Well, besides burning down that nighclub of course.

Check it out. It's really quite impressive. Jack Russell does one hell of a Robert Plant impersonation.

You exagerate! It's not even an original Led Zep song,it's a traditional aranged by Page;i mean it's great ,but if you want to heave your ass kicked try Immigrant Song,Achilles Last Stand,In My Time of Dying,Communication Breakdown,etc...

And imo,Deep Purple's In Rock kicks way more ass than anything Led Zep ever did(in studio at least).

Hmm... I'm not sure. Both are great but each to their own right... In terms of who gets the most playing time in my stereo the answear however is unequivocally Zeppelin...

I've heard all those songs, I was a Zeppelin fanatic in high school.
And isn't Jimmy Page Zeppelin's guitarist? So wouldn't that make it an original Zeppelin song?

I'd have to say Zep. I don't own any albums by either (   ), but from what I've heard, LZ > DP.

He didn't compose the song, just arranged it!
