Follow this link, and you'll see the band's discography (not updated through Thunderdome), along with lineup history. The first two albums of the band (both with Deris) are gerat party rock / hair metal albums. Both are very catchy, fun albums. These albums are too far off from Bonfire or Pretty Maids albums of the same era. If you like Helloween songs like Anything my Mama Don't Like and Get It Up, you'll probably dig early PC69. An affinity for 80's glam / hair metal will enhance your appreciation of the first 2 PC69 albums. Games People Play was a little more serious, but still rocks pretty hard. For me, it falls a bit short of the other 2 Deris albums, which I like equally. After GPP, the fall....
Enter David Readman. Change was his first album with PC69, and it was basically the band's mid 90's sellout to grunge / alternacrap. To put it bluntly, this album sucks balls. Food For Thought was next, and it wasn't quite as bad. It still had the alternagrunge influences, but a shift back toward melodic rock/metal was evident. With the next album, PC69 absolutely exploded to something better than they were even with Deris in the band. Electrified and Sonic Dynamite are easily my 2 favorite albums of the band. Awesome blend of melodic metal and melodic rock. Endangered followed, and didn't have quiet the punch of its 2 predecessors. Still a good album, but it had a tough act to follow in being released after the 2 previous gems. Sonic Dynamite ranks just behind Electrified and SD, in my opinion, but not far behind at all. With the exception of the silly cover tune, it's a great album. I'm really looking forward to their next album!
