I was wondering if anybody here has ever listened to Josh Homme's "other band" Eagles Of Death Metal. I just heard their new album (Heart On) today and it has a lot of really good songs mixed with a couple rather average songs. An interesting blend of 70's rock, psychadelia and bluesy rock. If you're looking for QOTSA's sister band, look elsewhere. But taken for what it is (a joke/parody band by a bunch of guys just hanging around the studio and playing whatever they want), it's mighty fine music.
And yes, even their name is a joke.
