I'm listening to Death Come Near me by Draconian off their new album, Arcane Rain Fell and it's incredible. I was wondering if all of their stuff is this good and if it is, where's a good place to start with them? |

Death, Come Near Me is probably the best song on that album, but what a song! Just look where Alex put the album on his Best of list. I haven't heard their previous release, Where Lovers Mourn, but both albums have solid scores on metal-archives and doom-metal.com |

If you like Arcane Rain Fell, do check out Where Lovers Mourn. Both are very good in my opinion. |

Arcane Rain Fell is an awesome album, been listening to it constantly since I got it 3 months ago. Best songs are Death, Come Near Me (obviously), Daylight Misery, Everlasting Scar and A Scenery of Loss. The other songs are good, but not as good as the ones named before. I'm still waiting to get Where Lovers Mourn, the shop misplaced the cd-case.. bastards.. |

I heard about 4 songs from these guys on a metal radio station and I was bored to tears, but then again I never really liked Metal like this so it's not surprising. They seem to be getting a lot of critical praise and growing a large fan base though. |

I love Arcane Rain Fell and in my opinion The Abhorrent Rays is one of the greatest songs ever. Where Lovers Mourn is also good, but not as good as ARF, the first track, The Cry of Silence, is a real killer though. |

I think it's an acquired taste. Was for me anyway. I started on stuff that's not really doom, more dark melodic rock, like new Katatonia and Green Carnation. And you've gotta be in the right mood for it too. I wish I'd been more into doom in the past because I'm on kind of a doom kick but I have to keep listening to the same stuff because I don't have a very extensive collection of it. |

That's the type of Doom I have a hard time getting into. |

I def feel that way about MDB too and I love Anathema and Paradise Lost. I want to try the 39.7 percent complete album by MDB, I heard it is way different similiar to what Moonspell did with Butterfly FX's.........comments? |

They have released two samples from The Burning Halo on their homepage if anyone are interested in checking it out, they are a bit slower then my favourites from them but still good in my eyes |

IMO "The Solitude" is not only the best Draconian song as it is one of the best doom-death songs ever. |
