good riddance. Now all the band needs to do is rope in someone with a shaved head, crossed arms, tattooes and a muscle shirt and they'll be perfect for Roadrunner. I've always hated this band with a passion, mostly because i can't stand the female-fronted Evanescence-wannabe 'gothic' metal. Lacuna Coil are the only good female fronted gothic band IMO. |

What the fuck?!?! :shock: Hahaha! Why the hell is that on their website? She must have REALLY pissed them off! Goddamn! Look, Tarja is a great vocalist, but I have been a fan of this band since 1999 when I picked up Angels Fall First in Korea. Don't ask me why I bought it, the cover is gay, but I gave it a shot. I'd never heard of the band before. When "Elvenpath" kicked in I was floored! I'd NEVER heard anything like it, nothing even close. The reason why Nightwish is so special is simple: TUOMAS! Bottom line. And since 1999 I have read many, many interviews where Tarja discusses her desire to do REAL opera again! Maybe you don't know, maybe you do, but Tarja's involvement in the band was only supposed to be for one demo, that demo became Angels Fall First, then Oceanborn and so on. I never got the vibe she truly wanted to be in Nightwish, it was always Tuomas's band, his music. And maybe that "hot front woman" label got into her head? Who knows! Tarja was a great addition to the band and emphasizes Tuomas's playing, but Tarja hasn't used her grand opera style since Oceanborn and the band still kicks ass in above their peers. Tuomas said it best: "Nightwish is, however, a scenery of my soul and I`m not ready to let go because of one person." They will find a new singer and continue to kick tons of ass. Tarja will be missed, but at this point she is not irreplacable. |

WTF? Don't get me going on Evanescence! I was stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas for many years. Evanescence are the real deal! Also, Nightwish were around first and they never claimed to be gothic, so that comment is completely wrong. And Lacuna Coil are also not gothic! Damn, dude. Learn your chick rock! |

I agree Tuomas wrote the lyrics Tarja sang them but the passion of the music lied in Tuomas,Tarja was just an avatar. I will miss her voice but life goes on and you have to accept change.I will be sticking with NW to see where the new ride will take them.Only time will tell. |
