I am kind of new to the doom metal scene, but what is the band Dolorian considered? I have heard the title track off of "When All Laughter Has Gone," and I kind of like that song. I was just wondering what your opinions were and if this cd is worth picking up. :?:

Great Doom! I think the self-titled follow-up "Dolorian" is even better than "When All the Laughter Has Gone". The first one is a bit heavier whereas the 2nd one succeeds in creating a more unique atmosphere.

According to Metal-Archives they're releasing their 3rd album later this year. It has been quiet since 2001, only a split with Shining. I know I'm looking forward to this release.

Dolorian will release their 3rd Full-Lenght throught Avantgarde Music at the end of 2005.

Wow, Dolorian albums are just as hard to find as Thergothon ones. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place. :roll:

Dolorian fucking rules. My favorite doom band. I've only heard When All Laughter Has Gone which is great doom with a touch of black metal. I actually listen to it a lot when I'm trying to fall aslepp, not because it's boring, but because it helps me relax.

Man, I finally ordered a copy. It was pretty hard to find on the net, considering its discontinued (It may have been re-released, but I got an original of "When all laughter has gone") Rock on :twisted:

Yeah Dolorian rocks... Nice melodies and verry good atmosphere and doomines havent heard of their follow up i will surely try to get my hands on it

Dolorian is amazing. They are my favorite Finnish doom band. I could not give a higher recommendation to their S/T album, and When All Laughter is Gone is great too. They just do unbelievably unsettling things with guitar tones and effects.

Ya Dolorian is pretty damn good, I agree. I would have to say I liked "When All The Laughter Has Gone" over the Self Titled, but it's all good.

Yes the new Dolorian is on it's way. It'll be done in a month or two, according to their website.
