Thunderstorm

They mix in some traditional Heavy Metal elements. Still pure Doom, but not as sluggish as most of their genre mates.

My Dying Bride.

With honorable mentions to Cathedral, Dolorian, Unholy, and Katatonia's Dance of December Souls album.

Cirith Ungol is awesome.

Candlemass is my favorite Doom Metal though.

Do you know Darkseed? The ultimate athmospheric doom metal...

Tracks are quite simple but have great aura of darkness and

damnation

I keep meaning to listen to Darkseed, I love atmospheric stuff.

Anyway, favorite is Candlemass.

But I also love:
Shape of Despair
Sleep
Mar de Grises
Solitude Aeturnus

I have all of Darkseed's albums and their awesome. But I wouldnt call them doom metal. I'd put it in the genre of Dark Gothic Metal.

Some tracks have a doomish feel to them, but there are not that many which do have that feel.
