Hey People's, just thought i would throw it out there in the hope that some one could feed my want of some new material. Know all the classics (Epica, Entwine, Nightwish, Poisonblack etc) but was hoping someone might have some bands that are not as popular or well heard of!? Cheers!!!!

Moonspell 'Night Eternal'?

Paradise Lost - Icon, In Requiem, Draconian Times
Virgin Black - Sombre Romantic
My Dying Bride - The Dreadful Hours, A Line of Deathless Kings

Edit: Virgin Black was put in bold to emphasize its awesomeness.

Check out Draconian if you haven't already. I've been having a hard time finding newer Gothic Metal bands as well though.

Hey thanks for that. I just got on you tube and watched/listened to some of there songs. Strong and powerful sound, beautiful voices. The Gothic Embrace! And then She Dies, can really feel it in your heart hey.

As far as new bands, I really just dont know where else to look, figured this was worth a shot, even attempted looking through myspace, not great results. Will let you know if i find anything. Thanks again.

Hey what about Mortal Love? Just spotted them on You Tube. Very moving and powerful. It's called I want to die.

If you like the darker kind, you might want to check out

- Sins Of Thy Beloved : especially their Lake of Sorrow album
- Mandrake : especially Calm the Seas and Mary Celeste
- Tristania : Widow's Weed is a classic from a band you haven't mentioned
- Theatre of Tragedy - The Velvet Darkness They Fear

On the lighter side of things there's Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Charon, To/Die/For, Sentenced and Paradise Lost.

I know you mentionned you knew the classics but I rather name drop awsome bands just in case you might have missed on one of them.

Good luck in your search and let us know of any interesting findings!

Love Leaves Eyes, will check out the others. Seems like i dont know as much as i thought. Just the mainstream Gothic Metal, if there is even such a thing.
