Nightwish, easily the best concert I have seen on their Once tour and I have seen a lot. Tarja induces chills man when she sings, it wasn't just me, it was everyone there, they are a good fucking band, period (or where).

Great I don't know, I usually reserve great for innovators etc. Even if one of my favorite bands in the world I can recognize the fact that they aren't the be all end all and why people don't like them.

Knowing how much Ken likes them makes me want to burn their CD's though........

Hahaha! You're turd! I first heard them in Korea, I used to always buy random metal CDs because the BX had worthless CDs like Savage Garden (which I sadly own, actually). My first Nightwish album was AFF, I'd never heard of them, didn't know what to expect, but when "Elvenpath" kicked in my jaw hit the floor! I'd heard plently of female-fronted bands before, even band like After Forever with soprano vocalists, but never had I heard anything quite like Nightwish.

Yeah, I think they're a great band and I do think they're innovators because while some bands have tried to copy them since they sort of got "big," they're still very unique and they're definitely the best at what they do. So, yeah, for me they're great.

Nightwish play pretty much epic classic Heavy Metal with Soprano vocals (use to be). Both elements around for awhile, they just do it very well.

I heard Walking on the Air first on an old Beauty in Darkness comp. Nightwish albums were not easy to buy in the US back then, it took awhile to track them down.

You know it is funny, I got back into Trad/Pwr metal in Taiwan in a big way because that is like all you can find there. They have tons of shit from Europe but a lot of it is that Arwen type shit but still CD's are cheap there and doesn't hurt to "try" new shit. I found Celesty that way and some others.

No, sorry, I didn't know he was joking. In the past when NESS and I would joke around people picked fights with me thinking I was serious when NESS, the only person who should have cared, knew I was joking. So no, I didn't know he was joking, but if he was then we're cool and it's all good.

I couldn't watch it Saturday night, I went to bed early because I had to be up at 3am for a tournament. Then I had to come to work after at 5pm. This weekend sucked!
