Yep yep. I haven't heard a thing from this band after Anomalies until today when I heard a song called "Molting" and it damn near blew my head off.

Anyone heard the new album Xenosapien? How awesome is it?

I've had the download for like a month. It is pretty awesome. More death metally and less frantic than anomalies but still very good.

If it's less frantic then that kind of sucks. The frantic nature of the band is one of the appeals of Cephalic Carnage for me.

It's still more frantic then any other band though.

I've heard some more on their Myspace, and it still sounds really damn frantic. Maybe more straightforward in contrast to all the weird genre bending Anomalies did, but still really frantic.

If you loved Anomalies, then most likely love Xenosapien as well. Cephalic are on a streak, pretty awesome stuff. As said above, Xenosapien might be a little less all over the place than Anomalies (there are no equivalents to "Dying will the be death of me" or "Piecemaker"), but it is still the same Cephalic hydrogrind formula in effect...
