Portuguese black metal!

i'm listening to "Fellatrix Discordia Pantokrator" and it's pretty cool so far. it's in portuguese and a bit over-the-top but musically it's solid, black metal with a heavy metal touch.

I got a promo for this some time back. Some very cool riffs here and there, but the tongue-in-cheek concept kind of puts me off.

well it's a bit tongue in cheeck, but the band is truly against religion and the like, but they're also against being kvlt just for the sake of it.

btw i'm uploading "Calypso" also off the FDP album now, it's my favourite from the bunch so far, but last night my internets was sucking badly.

Nothing wrong with that. Venom were certainly having a lot of fun on their classic work, but still managed to be truly scary, hehe. Sadistik Exekution would be another good example of how humor can work in black/death metal.

I can't quite put my finger on why this record didn't do much for me. Could be the fact that one of the songs had a riff lifted off the imperial march from Star Wars. Made me think of Vondur, who fucking sucked, hehe.

Maybe i'll listen to this again some day when i have the time. As i said, they did have some pretty good riffs going on.

lol, that song with the Star Wars bit is Calypso :P i'm not a big fan of the ending either, but the rest of the song kills, especially the heavy metal-ish beginning.
