I bought their 2nd album as a 2 for 1 with Maiden's Rock in Rio and it was like At The Gates but with cheesy catchy choruses, no emotion and ten years late. I can't really see their new one being very good if they don't have Tomas anymore :\ Worst 20$ I've ever spent. |

Sweet Vengeance is ok, nothing too special. Tom Englund's vocals really fuck things up (in a bad way not in da kewl jumpdafuck up way k?) whenever he makes an appearance though. I have no interest in hearing this new album. No Gus G and no Tompa = no care. I haven't heard the new guy sing, but any death metal band with a singer who lists Slipknot among his influences is in trouble I think. Plus he just looks like a mallcore faggot. Husker threads put a little Husker in all of us (but not in da sexul way k?). |

Heard older songs and I didn't like it. Bog-standard melodeath. So I'll be checking their new direction out! ![]() |

There is nothing shocking about the direction of this album. It's essentially the same as their previous albums but with more melody and clean-singing. Shocking, really. ![]() I think it's a great album. The clean-singing and melodies makes it come off a little less heavy than the previous two albums, but the songs are great! |

Umm, I just listened to Being Nothing (from the 2nd album) and the new song Scathing back to back from myspace and the new guy sounded almost indistinguishable to Tom! :O There was also a live clip of some song with the new singer, and darn he sounded vicious live >) So, there were no clean singing on these ones, so I can't comment on that. I wonder where you've heard those? ![]() ![]() |

There is a good dose of clean singing on the new one. And the new vocalist is sick! You should have heard him in DeathDestruction. Awesome stuff. |

Well at least Nightrage is a better outlet then paint by numbers metal like Firewind is for Gus G. Sweet Vengance is a cool album though, hard to find stuff like this anymore though or maybe I just don't pay attention. |

Tom's vocals are awesome, I agree somewhat that he didn't fit in well with Nightrage though. As for the new record, I haven't really gotten around to it yet, so I don't really have a comment. Nothing much to add really, but considering there's no Tompa anymore I doubt it could hold a candle to past releases. ![]() |
