Becoming the Archetype deathcore? I would label them more like progressive metalcore...All this genre tagging is driving me nuts!

Well i think deathcore is a tag for a band that plays a very extreme form of hardcore that tends more to death metal than anything else. A perfect exemple of "deathcore" imo is Despised Icon. Some people tag JFAC deathcore also. Btw, i listened to their full Doom(ep) today and i must say that it isn't too bad. |

True, but it's faster than saying death metal with some metalcore stuff or metalcore with some death metal stuff. |

It's redundant considering most of the original Death Metal bands were influenced by the old Hardcore bands though. Especially in the vocal department. |
