I'm going to see Deicide on Thursday - without Glen Benton! For anyone who hasn't heard yet, Glen decided on the very eve of the European tour that he couldn't make it (first it was legal issues, now its family problems). They played the first two gigs with no bass player and the drummer for the support band singing - he had to learn 17 songs in a single day. Now they've hired the bassist/vocalist of Dissenter for the rest of the tour. This is bullshit - I paid £15 to see Deicide, not three quarters of their line-up and some other dude. I'm curious to see how the crowd will react, especially those that don't know about it. |

I know Steve is a huge creative force in the band, but how in the hell can they even call it Deicide without Glenn. Why not just reschedule, that's really dumb. I'd be pissed too. |

Man that sounds crappy. I often wonder how a band like Iron Maiden would cope if Bruce suddenly got explosive diarreah 5 minutes before going on stage. |

So Glenn can sit on his fat arse and still get paid, that's why. ![]() |

I personally think Glenn Benton is a clown. The new album is great just because of Jack Owen and Ralph Santolla joined the band. |

Glenn has been acting like this for a long time. It's why the Hoffman brothers left. |

BULLSHIT!!! Santolla and Owen = great duo, but the Hoffman Bros. were still kickass. Whether they had their shit written for them by teacher (Ralph) or not, the system was working. Deicide was working. Scars is so underrated, and the final 2 Roadrunner albums should just be forgotten for "we want off the label" reasons. Glenn = good basswork and amazing frontman. Great show everytime you see 'em. Who care's what he has or hasn't done? There are far bigger jackasses in the world of music. Anyway, sucks alot for you Rad, sorry to hear that. I really enjoyed them this Oct. Are they still doing shows with Desolation? |

Actually, the gig went rather well. The guy they had in subbing on bass and vocals was ok, but his vocals were turned down very low. Then for the encore they had the dude from Visceral Bleeding and the drummer from one of the other support acts sing a song each with no bass, which went down very well. Then for Dead By Dawn and Sacrificial Suicide Jack Owen took over on vocals! You're a hero, Jack! |
