Hey, this thing is good! I downloaded it out of pure curiosity thinking I was going to hear a joke song, but i got totally turned around on it... The ambient part is really good, although when guitars and drums step in i feel really off, the guitar sounds peculiarly and... should i say, dishearteningly horrible, so do the drums (no bass adds up for really empty and un-understandable sound) although it is really hard to understand what the hell you´re doing on those instruments, it is noticeable (at least by me, call me crazy) that with a better sound it could actually sound really good and add up to the whole spacey atmosphere with some raw powerfull black metal. Congratulations, really creative, yet you need better production, it´s really not that hard to get a decent guitar/drum sound on a home recording, I as many people have done it before with a simple Adobe audition just to keep it simple and easy. Say, what software/instrument did you use for that spacey atmosphere thing? |

Congratz Kimmy, you've outdone yourself! I like the first part better than the industrial black stuff though... Keep working on it, and read into some rhythms. ![]() |

Thanks to both of you ![]() * Microsoft Sam, Text to speech ![]() And to Slipkeys... all the music was made on my Roland Fantom X8 keyboard, including the so-called guitar and drums ![]() but yeah, better production would have been nice. It's mainly due to my sound-card on my computer which is crap. The sound is much richer when you listen to the music directly from the keyboard. However, i could have made the "guitar" sound slightly better, it's just a matter of adjusting the knobs on the keyboard correctly. In order to make up for the poor recording, i did use some equalizers etc - i use the program called Magix Music Maker, ha ha ![]() and btw, the buzzing was actually added by myself on purpose, and that weird sound that starts around the 4. minute is actually a recording of kosmos itself. imo, the best part is around the beginning of the third minute ![]() |

Quote: And to Slipkeys... all the music was made on my Roland Fantom X8 keyboard, including the so-called guitar and drums it has quite a few intruments that are atmospheric, but once u have found out how to use the keyboard u can actaully make "atmosphere" out of most patches/instruments on the keyboard, by adjusting the attack and the release, and to further spice it up u can adjust the cutoff and resonance ect etc.

Anyways congratulations, I haven´t heard your other stuff but this is really good! |
