This is pretty sweet melodic death metal, featuring one of the most brutal drummers out there.. TIM Yeung (Decrepit Birth, Vital Remains, Hate Eternal)

Check it out!!

Huge post about this on the Derek Roddy forums.

Here's what Derek Roddy said about it:

You guys were just talking about how much it's gonna suck to have the blast beat become more popular.
To have popular bands or bands that usually DON'T play them using blast un-appropriately.
This sounds to me like a bunch of posers getting together and saying...
" lets put a blast part in our tune".
Tims playing is great and one of my favorite drummers but I think that was the MOST homosexual thing I've ever heard anybody try to do with Extreme music.
Man, they sound pissed!
No offence of course

i kind of agree, it was pretty gay.

Agreed. But this is associated with CKY which is associated with Bam Margera who is associated with HIM which makes this band totally gay.

You know how it works around here.

Or maybe I just think the song is sucky? Is that so impossible?

But its associated with something in trendy rock circles, which means you liking it makes you more open minded than the rest of us for giving it a chance, which everyone else is too jumped up on their kvltness to do, right?

I do indeed know how it works around here.

I still prefer Foreign Objects(Deron Millers old band, before cky..re-recorded the material in 2004 with James Murphy). This is alright but I don't think the vocals fit at all. I mean I think they are well sung but it just doesn't fit with the music, I also think his death style of vocals are much better in Foreign Objects and I strongly encourage you to listen to if you like this band
http://www.myspace.com/foucs

I think Deron has alot of talent and it shouldn't be overshadowed just because his band is affiliated with Bam Margera. I had a chance to meet the guy back in February and he's a really cool, down to earth person.(yes, I know that has nothing really to do with the music I figured I'd just lay it out there for the hell of it.)

Dude, I was fucking joking; the veiled insults are totally unnecessary.

I actually wasn't being serious. I was being sarcastic. I think by now it should be very apparent when I'm being serious or not.

He's just bitter because he got shot down from Psyopus.

The song reminded me of Into Eternity.

:dio:

Anyway, these guys come over as quite poserish by calling themselves "Death Metal" when they are clearly no such thing. Despite this I really liked a lot of the riffing, although the vocals are way too lightweight to sustain the power levels.

Yeah because it's not like both bands do drastic switches from cheesy technical death metal to sugary sweet clean vocal choruses or anything...
