Hit for me. I actually prefer this album over Reroute To Remain. I bought Come Clarity just today, so I thought I'd post this Hit/Miss poll for IF's most maligned album.

Big miss. Especially the faux-gangsta video.

I was really surprised to see it got a 10 out of 10 on metalcovenant.com...

Definite miss for me.

It's a hit for me. Definitely a different kind of album, but not so different that it deserved the huge backlash it received. Stacked up against other In Flames album, sure, it's different, but I think it's a very good album for what it is.

Agreed. F(r)iend (my favorite song on the album) actually has one of the best opening riffs In Flames has ever done, despite the fact that it's sort of buried beneath all that guitar noise. The Quiet Place is admittedly catchy, and I love the synth lead for My Sweet Shadow.

If by hit, you mean "gigantic piece of shit," then its a definite hit. Otherwise a miss.

I think it has horrible production and the song writing is lazy. Def a huge miss for me.

I reckon in between. I love all IF albums, but this one had the most flaws IMO, especially in that Anders did the whiny vocals too much. But there were more hits than misses on here I reckon, so hit.

Agreed, if only because Soilwork's singer and drummer are better.
