Post subject:  Absu- Stone Of Destiny (...For Magh Slecht And Ard Righ)
I'm here to tell you about this song. I had never listened to Tara all the way through until last night. Basically, this is probably one of the greatest songs ever concieved, and tara is a fucking kickass album. It gets a lot of praise on Metal Archives as I'm sure most of you know.

The singing at 30 seconds or so is some of the most amazing stuff ever. I suggest you all pick up TARA, (i'm sure a lot of you already have it), but for those that don't and like thrash/black/whatever kind of metal, I'm sure you wont hate it, not to mention if you're a drummer you gotta hear proscriptor, the guy is insane!

Manannan, A Shield With An Iron face and Vorago (Spell 182) are the coolest, but it's a kickass album in general, lots of killer riffs and insane drumming (like you said).

i first heard it recently as well, 2 months ago i think, i remember thinking i had been missing out all this time!

but that specific song you mentioned, i don't like it at all. too slow.

it probably is, it's probably my problem and not the band's, as i have a huge problem when it comes to listening to music - 90% of the time, i can't like something if it isn't fast.

anyways, i searched on Youtube and found this:

the song completely fucking RULES, but the video is awful :lol: the singer acts like a fag, and the camera is always on whoever is singing at that moment, for some reason.
in the related videos there's a live one with a few comments from the band and all.

EDIT - but what do you think of the songs i mentioned?
the riff shortly after 1:25 in "Vorago" is awesome!!

another one of my favorites is From Ancient Times (Starless Skies Burn To Ash), i love the intro.

She Cries the quiet lake is great also.

oh I thought proscriptor was the only one who did vocals on that album o_O/.

Proscriptor is the only one who sings on Manannan. He's doing a double role on the vid (behind the kit and in the front with the silver face paint).

And yeah, Stone of Destiny is an awesome song. Gotta love those twisted heavy metal vocals.

TARA is indeed an awesome album. As a matter of fact, I need to listen to that again, it's been quite a while.
