Post subject:  Deicide- The Stench of Redemption
Anyone get this yet? I don't think they'll ever top Legion or Deicide. But this is really damn good, more melodic than their past releases, more comparable to Vital Remains, but still not a whole lot like VR.

Listening to it right now. More melodic indeed, much better than their latest releases but not as good as the first two or any Vital Remains album. Nice leads n' stuff.

Good album overall. Deicide won me back with this.

Vital Remains is great, but there songs are just to long sometimes and all of them have the same structure (well, on dechristianize, their most popular album.). That's their only faults though.

I never really liked them. Listening to a track now... meh.

If I was a Satanist I'd be a fan of Glenn's, though. The man has done much for the devil, even if he is a buffoon.

Edit: Vital Remains are much better.

Listening to it now. Very good stuff. I still prefer the new Vader, but this is good. The solos are a big plus.

Did anyone (british or some european people may have seen it) see that moral panic mongering documentary by the BBC on metal and related violence. Loads of people speaking out against metal, the only person they pulled in to speak for metal at any length was Glenn. Commence palm hitting forehead....

i saw it, 't was the usual prejudice. And on related issue, i'm planning to watch a documentary about some murder case in Italy, involving a amature metal band. but i'm sure it's shit since:

*The title is: "Death metal murders"
*They first say that the band of victims and murderers play Heavy Metal
*Two sentences below they suddenly played satanistic black metal
*Furthermore, they let a priest(!!!) give comment on the events

from what i got was that they had a heavy/death/black metal band and they brutally( and i mean really brutal) murdered a guy and his gf because they thought she was like a sacrifice to bring the antichrist. The guy obviously wanted to stop them and save his gf but they both got killed. fucking teenagers man
