Post subject: What do you think of Death's painkiller cover?

It's one of the better covers I've ever heard, but I have a friend who thinks its terrible, and I want to see your guys opinions.

I like it musically, but Chuck's vocals have always kind of annoyed me.

this cover slays, but it's not the best I heard... (too many to mention, I love covers !)

I've never heard Death's cover, but I have heard Angra's and it's not good.

I think he was referring to the Angra version. And if you were Azrael, I believe it was on a Judas Priest tribute album.

Chuck's vocals are all right, but he completely butchered Tipton and Downing's incredible solos. Whereas theirs was a masterpiece, he basically just mindlessly shreds during the solo section. For shame.

to be completely honest, I didn't believe it was Chuck singing in that cover. I thought is was a chick for quite a while until it was confirmed that is was really him.

I just heard it, and I thought it was as bad as the Angra cover. Not in the same way, but I will never have an urge to listen to it again.
