Well...I've only listened to it once, and...well...I'm not sure. The main riff REEKS of St. Anger, but the double bass lines are pretty decent. It has a good flow to it, but then it breaks down into the same style of St. Anger-ishness. So I'm not going to completely defecate on it yet, but...whatever. Here it is: Great quality

This song was lame as shit. This is what happens when metal heads go yuppie, and then try to go back to being a metal head. Its a one way street.

Wooow... that was.. uhm... horrible!! it had some decent soloes around the 5.30-6th minute, but the boring/horrible vocals and the boring riffs killed the song for me..

i'm a huge Metallica fan and i have to say this sucks.

the vocals were shit, the riff, like DeathScream said, reeked of St. Anger, and the whole thing sounded quite repetitive during the whole song.

but still, i'll give them the benefit of the doubt. as long as there's a 1% chance of Metallica coming back the way we remember them (musically, i mean), i'm a believer.

(but still try before i buy, of course)

Well it's gonna be around RM 30++ (USD 10++). But I think I'm just gonna download it when it's out. Speaking of it....all my Metallica stuff are ripped off the net!!! Some fan I am......Don't blame me, they're rich enough it doesnt matter if thousand of Asians resolve to piracy.

It's not that bad, but who can we really tell with such shit quality. The studio version will either make or break this song.

Ya, so, I'm going to have to say what I said before and say that this completely sucks.

Someone pointed this out on another forum I use and well, it basically sucks. Total St. Anger syndrome - dragging a four minute song out to twice that long. The solo sounded decent though.

The solo was the only things that got me semi-satisfied. The rest was just mediocre. I don't think Lar's double pedals was too impressive. But of course, at least he's bringing it back. And the solo isn't really a classic-to-be, but at least now Kirk's got a job to do in Metallica. At one moment I thought Kirk wasn't in Metallica anymore when I heard St. Anger.

Absolute shit. Metallica sucks.

Can anyone translate what those German guys were saying in the background? I'm pretty sure they were saying it sucked.
