I once again was listening to Thrash Assault today and decided that these guys kick ass.

If you only like cleaned up million dollar studio production. These guys aren't for you. I really don't know who to compare them to at this time, but if you like raw dirty thrash, these are the guys for you! At least that's what I would say.

Are they the same type of Thrash as Exodus with the girlish rough voices? I'm not very much a fan of that.

Exodus has girlish voices? wtf? Exodus fucking kill you.

But no, the vocals are pretty harsh.

I don't know. I can't stand the harsh high vocal singing. I prefer a straight up growl or scream. But I do promise to try out Sauron.

Girlish, WTF? Listening quickly over anything Exodus has ever done by either Paul, Steve, or Rob and no girlish sounds to be found anywhere.

I was exaggerating when I said girlish, but I don't really enjoy just the harsh singing. I prefer either singing or screaming, not a combination.

They are super evil thrash/real black metal who've drawn influence from both the German and South American thrash/real black metal scenes. There's something about Sauron's approach that's unique, though, I still can't put my finger on it. Awesome songwriting, though, through and through, it's a great place to start if you are looking for more violent thrash. They do what they do, and do it a lot more than well.

PS: The vox are diabolical. You'll love em.

If I'm not mistaken, Holy_Terror's brother is in Sauron, and another is in Harbringer. But I'm not sure.
