I'm downloading now. Has anyone heard it yet ? I have great expectations. Too bad it is the last ever album by Imperial. :cry:

No, I haven't heard it yet... but you must've by now. Is it more like The Black House or more in the vein of Destruction Ritual?

Bastard, I was going to make this thread. I've heard the first track ( www.darksoul7.net has it, and the new Darkthrone), and liked it.

It's awesome. Simply awesome. Daniel said it but it's not even half as chaotic as The Black House but it's still full of negative energy like it. It's only my first listen but I'm very impressed so far. It makes it even more sad that he is quitting but I'll follow Imperial wherever he goes.

Well... that would be away from Metal... Azentrius has said that Imperial told him he was/is sick and tired of (Black) Metal... I think he's even closing his distro and many of the Krieg splits won't even be released. In fact, Azentrius had to send the artwork and master tapes to No Colours... I suppose because Imperial didn't care if Blue Miasma was released or not.

It's good to quit while you're winning. I've heard a couple of samples from Blue Miasma, and it's definitely on my "to buy"-list.

I'd give it a 90. A little lower than The Black House. Though it can rise in time, I've only heard it twice and Krieg albums were never easy to get into.

Just the line-up on this album makes me drool. So sad to see this band go at what might well be considered their peak :(

Im reviving this thread because i just got this!

I thought i would hear something like Destruction Ritual (i havent heard TBH, but i will get it sometime), but i was pleasantly surprised. An album that is much slower, yet still with a supreme sense of melancholy and evil. Its so diverse, one minute reminding me of burzum, the next of darkthrone, the next of some mid paced Death metal, and so on.

I cant believe how melancholic this is.......so far its my album of 2006.

It's definitely going on my top 3 of 2006, if something terrible doesn't happen in the next few months, like me turning into a gay indie crap listener, haha, satan forbid.

Not sure, it was a while ago, but I'll assume you're close. I actually didn't mind it, but with all the "ist kreig" talk I expected more.

Give "Black metal ist Krieg" a shot, you'll probably hate that one even more.

I dunno how someone doesn't like this album, the faster songs are awesome old school metal headbanging songs, you gotta love that.

Awesome. I only have Destruction Ritual, but do enjoy the hell out of it. I really need to get(find) more Kreig.
