Random thought: Have darkthrone or burzum ever played live?

Burzum no, Nocturno did play once with Satyricon, I think, but Fenriz wasn't interested.

Darkthrone played a few gigs with their full lineup some time way back.
Burzum has never performed live, as far as i know.

Varg toyed with the idea some time around Det Som Engang var (IIRC), but that idea didn't last long.

Yes, most underground BM plays live, despite what Kathy says. It's just that however it's most, it's far from all. A lot of BM is just one person, but most is still a band.

Nargaroth is like Darkthrone, they try to remain underground but their succes gives them publicity. The "black metal ist krieg" thing got them very very famous.

And "Eric, rape the angels!". I was joking there, for the benefit of non-UK readers.

Nargaroth and Darkthrone are indeed not underground, but most (yet far from all) underground BM bands do play live, I don't care if you throw 3 examples on the table of bands that don't play live, a very large part still does.

No they don't. Most of them don't. And I also said "rarely", that includes bands like Darkspace who only gave like 1 or 2 concerts ever.

OK, I don't know a whole lot about BM, but I do know that most underground BM bands play live, I've even seen a few at band nights etc. Most aren't signed to big labels (obviously) but play live in front of like 30 people in pubs band nights whatever.

Oh really ? Did the few bands you've seen live give you that impression or did you check out thousands of bands for years and came to the conclusion like I did ?
