Actually, I agree on The Cult is Alive. I love it. But it's not as good as TH.

i won't go flaming but however , in my opinion The Cult is Alive=utter shite and TH= overrated for such a mediocre album

A Blaze in the Norther Sky is one of my first bm albums (I still have it in cassette, cassette I tell you!) So it has a very special place for me. Transilvanian Hunger is perfection in black metal with its minimalism, hypnotism, unholy atmosphere...

A Blaze In The Northern Sky and Under A Funeral Moon are pretty god damn good albums. The Cult Is Alive has a nice new rocky feel. But nothing beats the archaic, evil and yet melancholic feeling of:
