Both albums released in the same year, and both considered classics by most although MOP is definitely more accessible and of course has sold more copies. I haven't listened to Reign In Blood, so won't vote. Just want to see what this poll results would be. |

It's a no-brainer: Reign In Blood all the way. |

Well I voted Master of Puppets, but mainly because that album has special sentimental value, whilst RiB doesn't for me. Also, Metallica wrote slower sections that grooved really hard as well, which is something most thrash bands couldn't. So I still love that album a lot. |

ah, I don't listen to either any more. Slayer got me into metal though so I guess they get my biased vote |

Today: I enjoy RiB more, but as far as having an impact on me as a metalhead, it's MoP handsdown. First CD i bought, ![]() .:crast:. |

I can't really compare. Both bands have such different approaches to thrash metal. |

RIB. I don't MOP. It's a shitty album. Just take look at Metal-Archives, there's a review by Ultra-Boris. I have the same approach and opinion as this guy has ![]() |

![]() I have a feeling we're about to get another war on the subject... Jolly good. |

Ultraboris' review on MoP is a crock of shit. |

If you insist ![]() I found MOP overrated and totally below the level of Ride The Lightning. The album is dull, cold and the vocals are awful ![]() |

I think their best album is Kill Them All nothing beats it. |

This one's good too, but comparing with, for instance Exciter's "Violence And Force" is nothing special... I always claim that half of MOP is listenable because Metallica had some spare riffs by Mustaine. The other half of songs is on their own riffs and that's why is shitty. Well it's not a secret that they've stolen most of riffs from Mustaine. |

I prefer Megadeth to Metallica. They have better compositions (Mustaine), better guitar work (Friedman! Show me a guy who's better than him in the Thrash Metal genre), great sound, sharp as a razor...Great! |

![]() RtL is better, but... "dull, cold" what are you refering to? The sound is identical to its predecessor. "the vocals are awful," again, James sounds exactly like he does on RtL. |

Well, perhaps we listen to different albums ![]() James used more screams on RTL, and the sound was a bit more 'sharp'. But all in all, I've never liked Hetfield's voice  But the compositions on MOP...The same riffs all over again, repetitions, the title song is amazingly weak... |

I agree Megadeth is 100 times better than Metallica.. But both bands are clearly going downhill, only metallica much faster than megadeth. |
