Bodom are now another "entry" band for posers. I still like them, they just are in the process of selling out, IMO. |

It's because too many people like them. Oh snap, I went there. That's actually not true but it's often easy to accuse real "tr00" people of such things. Personally, I love their first two albums, but I'm a sucker for power/speed stuff, and I don't mind keyboard leads like a lot of people do. If their new stuff doesn't bore the hell out of you like it does me, you should get a kick out of Hatebreeder. And skip Follow the Reaper, that one sucks for the most part, they just took what they did on Hatebreeder, cut it up, and pasted it together formulaically (that a word?). Don't take criticism too hard, just take it as suggestions. |

I liked them when I was first getting into metal. Actually, they were one of the bands that got me into harsh vocals (In Flames was the other). Now, I need to be in the right mood to hear them, except Hatebreeder. |

I listened to Hatecrew Deathroll and Follow the Reaper a lot for like a week, then got bored. Never really understood why some people respected hatebreeder. |

Eyesore, that's crazy. They DID change quite a bit from Hatebreeder going into Follow The Reaper. The music was slowed down, not nearly as insane, and much easier to follow. In a word, simpler. Then from there, they dropped a lot of the keyboards to focus more on the riffing in Hatecrew Deathroll, and made a metal record that rocked a bit more than it slashed throats open. Alexi's vocals also became clearer. Are You Dead Yet? is just a continuation of this theme of constantly watering down. They haven't changed like Metallica did from Reload to St. Anger, but they certainly have changed. |

I think Something Wild is pretty cool, and some tracks from ther other CDs are quite decent too. My problem with CoB are the vocals. I can't stand his whiny vocals for more than a few tracks. So, in small amounts CoB can be entertaining to drink beer too, otherwise, I try to stay away,

Actually, Bodom is not that bad, but it does suck!! The first albums were listenable, but I'm too trve to admit that. I liked them a lot at one point, but I'm not going to tell you. I think they are overrated immensely, and also because their later albums are crap, they've created a backlash to their older albums, which suddenly suck now. This post is incoherant. Bodom is a lame excuse for music, far too high a catch factor. Listen to Burzum, thank you. |
