I have the ability of getting one of two Suicidal albums, they are Controlled by Hatred or Still Cyco after all Tese Years. Which one should I pick? I have only heard two other songs from these guys one I liked and the other was not so good. Are they even considered thrash?

Punk/Thrash/Crossover or something like that. I'd get Still Cyco.

Well, skatecorethrash, moreless.

I have not preferences between these two. If there was in the list Join the army, How Will I Laugh Tomorrow or Lights, camera, revolution, the decision will be for these, in that order.

Still Cyco is just a re-recording of the first album. Buy Controlled By Hatred. Their more metal albums are the best. Basically from Join The Army until Suicidal For Life (excluding Still Cyco). The self-titled (and Still Cyco After All These Years) is more punk/hardcore, and everything after Suicidal For Life is the same.

Between Join The Army and Suicidal For Life they were somewhat of a thrash metal/hardcore hybrid, and they were pretty awesome!

Don't listen to him, he's drunk. Both are great, but if you don't punk-influenced hardcore, Still Cyco is not for you. The self-titled is a classic, though. Undeniable. Controlled By Hatred is excellent.

I did not get any Suicidal albums, instead I ordered a Hades album. I ordered $avior$elf, did I make a mistake? I ordered it just because I had never heard Hades before and I thought this would be a good place to start. Another website I go to said it was one of the best metal albums in 1998.

That is a good album, but not their best. It was probably a better choice since Controlled By Hatred is essentially an EP and Still Cyco is more punk/hardcore (maybe you no likey?).

$avior$elf is definitely good, but like I said, not their best. It is a quality album.

Check out http://www.danlorenzo.net, his solo work is pretty good. Much heavier than you'd expect. Also http://www.hadesusa.com is a good places to listen to some Hades work.

ACTIVE CONTRITION (from $avior$self)
