Probably their most "commercial" album yet, but it's fucking killer. "My Ghosts" is an amazing song.

I'm going to give this another chance, but my first listen was pretty painful.

That bad? Hmph. I need to hear this now. Narqath wouldn't do this. I don't want to believe it.

well, it's more that I'm a huge fan of Wyrd and this album seems pretty disappointing.

as I said, I haven't yet given up on it.. I'll take it for a walk and listen to it in the dark, just the two of usss..

See that picture above. Take it for a walk in that forest and it'll be the best album ever.

Not at all. A great band actually.

They seem pretty hard to find, unfortunately. I read the review of That-weird-word-that-starts-with-a-V pt. II and it sounds really good.

This song sounds like Poisonblack with Black Metal vocals.

Weak and boring.

The mid tempo stuff is pretty good, like some Paradise Lost with black vocals. My Ghosts is a great song.


Dark Water doesn't work as well - with the clean production there is no atmosphere created, therefore nothing to keep you interested.

"My Ghosts" isn't bad, but it's not amazing, either. Kind of monotonous, and there's not enough atmosphere to make it interesting.

Wyrd - Heathen is one of the best albums I ever heard in my life, seriously.

I only have Rota but I've heard one of the Vargtimmens, can't remember which one. This goes pretty far from that in style but not too bad.
