I'm a very experienced and skilled air drummer
and I can hear no triggers there. But the fucker plays like insane and I don't know how he can make all those drum hits sound exactly the same if not triggered.
So my vote goes to triggered.

I was recently listening to one of my favorite bands, Absu, when a friend was over. The bass drum fill at about 1:14/1:15 in "A Shield With An Iron Face" came up, and my friend said that this part was triggered. This was contrary to what another person had told me, which was that Proscriptor did not use triggers for Tara. Can anyone, perhaps a drummer themselves, comment on this? Thanks. |

I've also heard that Proscriptor doesn't use triggers. The bassdrum is just probably heavily compressed. |

One single roll among the whole drum track triggered? That doesn't make much sense to me; you would need to paste it from a different take, and the subsequent necessary edit would be painfully obvious to hear. |

Well, from what I understand, I'm not a pro on the matter but it's essentially like playing on an electronic set, because each hit will be the same volume and have a produced sound from a module. |

Yep. It's way easier to record with triggers because there's no miking involved. It's also easy to correct playing mistakes and change drum sounds if you record the hits as a MIDI track. I usually prefer the sound of miked drums myself. |
