La Rumeur des Chaînes (The Murmur of Chains) is our first studio-based musical project.
The CD includes three songs and lasts about 30 min, with influences ranging from black metal to romantic music or jazz, but trying to stay open minded and far from the usual clichés. We hope that everybody who doesn’t have any problem with extreme music will be interested!

All the songs are available on our website in 192kbps MP3s, but, if interested to get the CD with full artwork, you can send us an email at contact@ink-and-feather.com

it's original, i'll give you that!

but the mix sounded a bit forced to me (especially the jazz parts).... the song is a bit too long too, the ending is great though.

would i buy the mini-cd? probably not..

good luck with your future endeavours

Interesting... You want to get some live Jazz musicians in, especially for the horn parts. Some bits sound way too synthed at the moment. Believe me that would probably make it sound 10 times better...

But actually this is very good.

Good fucking job! :D

Man, you did a good job! If you can sort it out it would definitely be worth the effort...

EDIT: I might add it's a lot better than what most people would come up with using the same resources, so don't think I'm being overly negatvie or anything

It's highly experimental music, which is good by itself, as too much music sounds the same. The artwork is brilliant by the way, the cover looks neat! It's pretty well written as well, which is very hard when doing such experimental music. There are some very clever moments in the music, but I also think some of the riffs could have been better. I like it that you chose to also use both styles at the same time, rather than just variate between them. The music blends quite well together, but I think the atmospheres tend to clash a little, resulting in the lack of a strong mood. I suggest using more emotional BM styled riffs, which will fit the Jazz part better than the more traditional riffs. What are your favorite black metal bands by the way? The scene is quite large and I do not know how deep are you in. Some more underground streams use very powerful moods in their black metal which I think whould be a good influence for the music you create.

Anyways, it's good to see you are experimenting with different genres. I hope you keep us informed, this is a board with a collective rather openminded view, though with loads of black metal elitist fucks, like me (I know it contradicts), and therefore it's the ideal board for discussing your music.

Keep up the good work and us informed!

Hails!

@rio: No problem, I haven't taken it in a bad way! :)

@Gast1: Thanks for the analysis! The point with Erytheme was deliberately to create something new, using jazz instrumentation more than jazz music influence (which I only have a small knowledge), in a grotesque way.
You'll probably find something closer from BM moods in the two other songs, where classical music is more present.
Anyway, it's nice to get such a welcome, and I'd be very interested in the "BM underground streams" you suggest us

Yes, although I also liked the jazz influence a lot! But the other songs might be more solidly executed. Some parts reminded me of Furia (French heavy blackish something metal band). The BM underground streams might be worded a bit silly, I really have no clue what you listen to, so maybe you already heard everything I'm going to suggest now, but maybe you don't. Anyways:

Mystic Forest - Romances

Moody black metal with neoclassical/baroque influences

Woods Of Ypres – Against The Seasons

Forest Of Fog – Rabenflug & Nebelhymnen

Klabautamann – Our Journey Through The Woods & Der Ort

Avant-garde-ish melancholic nature oriented black metal

Odium Immortalis – Die Schönheid Der Einsamkeit

Taake - Nattestid

Change hxxp to http
True black metal

Darkspace – Darkspace

Atmospheric raw black metal (space atmosphere)

Velvet Cacoon – Genevieve

Ambient raw black metal

Aichmophoba – Demo 2005
http://www.aichmophoba.de/demo05/Aichmo ... 20noch.mp3
Depressive raw black metal

This is all taken from my post on another topic, there is lots of very popular stuff in as well, bordering mainstream, but you'll get the idea I hope.

After two months, we are already out of stock concerning the EP. Thanks to everybody who supported us!

We can't give any date for a next release, so, if you haven't done it yet, keep on going with mp3s on our pages.
NB: If you are working for a magazine and want the CD to be reviewed, we still can send you the layout, just mail us!

We're not a factory! These 3 songs took us 3 years to be created. But as soon as there's something new, I'll let you know
