Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice is better. |

Try figuring it out by ear. |

It's not that easy to do. They seem to use a lot of "reversed" chords, I don't recall the correct term for it; I mean those kind of chords which are built on the 3rd / 5th / etc. instead of the root. This can give a downtuned effect even when you use standard tuning (Galder of Old Man's Child / Dimmu Borgir uses this trick a lot). |

You mean 1st Inversion and 2nd Inversion chords (1st Inversion being built upon the 3rd and the 2nd Inversion being built upon the 5th)? |

Yeah, that's it; only, since we're mainly talking power chords here, it's usually the 5th which takes the lead position. E.g.: this is how you can make a standard C power chord sound heavier, by using the 5th as the lowest note: |------| |------| |------! |---5--! |---3--! |---3--! The tab kinda looks like shit, but you should get it. |

Yeah, the guitars do sound like they use a lot of inverted power chords. |

hey thanks guys. inverted chords such as 4-4-5, 4-4-6, 7-5, i get it. Maybe they are in standard E to begin with. I have been writing some good black metal compositions and Deathspell Omega, as well as Averse Sefira, Ildjarn, Emperor, and Taake, have been great influences. I hope to have maybe about 2 songs completed by the end of this month. Hails. |

i think i tabbed it incorrectly or they are just way different than how i play them. its an example, though, so dont pay too much attention to how its tabbed. |

Just tried it on my classical guitar, it sounds weird but not bad at all! |
