All For You I think was ok, but nothing special. I was wondering what that album is like around here. But I really want to know, has anyone heard anything from Schizo Deluxe? I love Annihilator, and a new album is great. So how does it sound? Better than Exodus's latest release I hope.

I was about to ask the same question. All this 'return to the roots' stuff never ends up being good, but I'm hearing people say that its for real this time - the closest to a Never, Neverland follow up that Anni have done. Fingers crossed.

Never been a big Annihilator fan, but hopefully this will at least be more in the style of Alice in Hell and Never, Neverland.

The two reviews at Metal Archives are very positive, and say Padden is good on this album. But then again, they had very positive reviews for Shovel Headed Kill Machine, and we all know how that turned out.

Exactly, I don't trust reviews on the Archives unless its a reviewer who I seem to agree with regularly, or someone who puts themself across like me. :P

Machine Head managed to pull it off with their last album.

Some of them are really bad.

One of my top4 most anticipated releases of 2005! (the other ones were Stratovarius, Bodom and Exodus)

Gonna get it this week! \m/
The soundclips on their website sounded quite good. Seems like Jeff told Davey to sing more streamlined and gruff (=just like Jeff)... which is actually good.

Must have been a disappointing year for you so far.

I've finally seen a negative review for SD - Terrorizer totally slaughtered it, and managed to suggest in the article that they actually knew a thing or two about Annihilator as well. Hmmm.

Listened to it. Without putting too fine a point on it, Dave Padden wants shooting.

Edit: Oh Christ, I just got to the last song. AAAaaargh. :x

Amen to that. I actually bought this as a X-mas gift to my friend since he's a really big Annihilator fan and while it is decent overall I would NEVER have bought it for him had I been aware of those overly gay parts. I was sorta aware of the band having turned to shit with the couple of last albums and also I knew about the vocalist...I guess I bought into the whole return-to-roots talk from Jeff too much.

Oh yeah and the song "Pride" has the most appropriate title ever. Man, that chorus. Holy fuck.
