I have Sphynx and it kicks major ass. Proscriptor from Absu plays drums on that one and he does some insane stuff. |

Yeah this band are excellent. I suppose they are blackened thrash, with some mid-eastern percussion and scales thrown in for good measure. Cool! And yeah, the drumming is spectacular in parts. |

I love this band. Sphynx is a great album and recently I got their previous albums Djinn and As Jerusalem Burns. Haven't heard them yet though I'm sure they kick ass. It says in their site that Akhenaten discovered this band. Cool. |

I didn't like them a lot, I was quite a fan of one track when it came out, but the rest kinda sucked in my ears. Proscriptor is amazing though (in total contradiction to his name). |

I have Sphinx. They are good, but not quite as good as I was hoping for. Still better than Orphaned Land though. |

Well, I've never really thought the two had much in common except for geography and a little bit of tonality- so I wouldn't really like to compare them that much... Orphaned Lans have much better melodies and a bit more variety... Melechesh have a lot more energy. |

I guess not. I was simply disappointed by Orphaned Land, so I unecessarily compared the two. |
