I have their s/t (demo) and Like a Blaze Above the Ashes, and I've grown quite attached not only to the band, but also their lyrics, which have some very moving aspects. To my knowledge, despite the band being NS, the topic doesn't show up in the lyrics. 'The Flames And The Ashes Before The Horizons Opened Wide' is a personal favorite song of mine, but on the demo, the real experience is the '94 demo, Winter Howl, which clocks in at 20:17. Very ambient, and totally unlike anything else found on their album, or anything on the other one that I've heard. The band experiments, and if you ask me, this song alone is worth the price of the whole re-release. But, anyway, anyone else know them? I believe the two people involved in this act have shown up in others, including Raven Dark, and I know Gast is gonna jump in and say Branikald, Kaldrad's new project, is a better venture, but I still recommend Forest.
