What is everyone's opinion on Watain? I absolutely love their first 4 albums but felt that The Wild Hunt was a bit of a drop off, however still a good album. What's your opinion? |

Love Casus Luciferi, can appreciate Lawless Darkness for what it is, good but overhyped band overall. |

A poor man's Dissection in my opinion but I've always enjoyed their stuff. The live show on Opus Diaboli is the perfect showcase of the band's sound and image and, for my money, really all you need from them (well, maybe Sworn to the Dark too). Without the stage show however, the quality of their live performance diminishes greatly. I caught them a couple years back and they were absolutely crushed by Behemoth and Cannibal Corpse. |

I've seen them 4 times now and when I saw them with Behemoth they weren't that good but the last 2 times I've seen them they've been great. I saw them with Mayhem back in November and it was great. |

Pretty much same as yours, although I remember the debut being a bit dull. Should really relisten to Wild Hunt, may well have grown on me. |

I'm super into their debut and felt like that on first listen but I got into it later and it's awesome black metal for me! However their sound is more mature on the following records. |
